Husqvarna 455 . Oil leaks from bottom of reservoir . Got a new hose / grommet and I want to use good quality sealant on the grommet . Any suggestions ? Thank you .

Have you checked the little screen filter where the hose goes into the tank?
Sometimes that gets gunked up and can cause a back-up that looks like a leak around the grommet.
If you've already got a new hose and grommet, just make sure everything is super clean when you put it back together.
But if it's still leaking after all that, there's a chance the plastic tank itself is cracked where the grommet sits.
It's hard to see the crack sometimes until you've got it all apart.. in that case, you might need a new oil tank housing.

No sealer. Clean it up to see where the oil is leaking. First step of oil leak detection.
I agree with the above post. Seen a few of these crack at the seam. Tried to seal them, doesn't work. New housing is the cure.

Husqvarna 455 oil leaks are a rite of passage, the truth is, no sealant will fix that grommet long-term. Either upgrade to a better tank fitting or get used to topping up
