Battery, gas, or corded – What’s your go-to saw?

Been using a battery saw for trimming and tidying up my property and it’s been surprisingly effective. However for more serious cutting jobs gas-powered saws still seem to have the upper hand. Corded saws are useful too but being plugged into an outlet can be a bit of a limitation. What about you, which type do you find works best for your tasks?

Small quick jobs get the Milwaukee battery saws.

Cutting firewood for the winter goes to the gas saws.

I don't like limitations of electric....at all. 020 for small trim jobs and 462 w/28" or 36" bar for wood

I use battery for everything, mostly EGO. I've processed several 20-24 inch trees with them. The CSX5000 is reasonably powerful, I have a 28" bar on mine. The last tree we cut down had a 28" flare at ground level. The 5000 cut it off flush.
The CS2000, 2 CS1800s, CS1400, and finally the CS1201 top handle. We had batteries left over at the end.

Milwaukee 8” Hatchet for small stuff and trail work. Stihl 261 and Ego 18” for the rest.

I have all battery, from the 4 inch mini, to the 28 inch EGO CSX5000. I guess my go to saw would be either the CS1800 with a 20 inch bar, or the CS2000, with it's stock 20 inch bar.
The 1800 is much lighter than the 2000, so if there isn't too much tough cutting, I would go with IT.

Great lineup. The CS1800 really shines when it comes to lighter work, excellent call on keeping it straightforward and practical.
