I know this is primarily a saw forum, so I appreciate your patience, just hoping someone here might have some insight . I recently picked up a Craftsman 32cc 17" weed whacker, and while it runs great, I've hit a snag with the line feed system. The trimmer line wont advance from the head at all. I've gone through the manual thoroughly, but it hasnt been much help. According to the manual, it uses centrifugal force for an automatic line feed, similar to a bump head system. However, my trimmer head appears to be a solid molded unit no spring, no obvious mechanism to bump, and nothing like the usual heads I've worked with. It also says on the housing that it has an automatic clutch and automatic line feed. I'm stumped. Has anyone come across this type of setup before? Is there a trick to getting the line to advance, or could it be jammed internally?Any advice would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.
