Help us test the new Chainsaw Talk mobile app (Gather)

Hey everyone,

Chainsaw Talk is now available inside the Gather app, and we’d love a handful of members to help us test it.

Best part: you don’t need to create a brand-new forum account. Just sign up / log in using the same email address you use on Chainsaw Talk and it should link automatically.

Download Gather:

• iPhone (iOS): https://gather.forum/ios
• Android: https://gather.forum/android

What to test:

• Install Gather and search for Chainsaw Talk
• Log in with your usual email
• Browse a few threads, try a reply, maybe start a new post
• Let us know what feels off (login, loading, posting, notifications, etc.)

Where to leave feedback:
Please reply to this thread with your notes. Even a couple bullets helps a ton. If you include your phone model + iOS/Android version, that’s perfect.

One extra perk: inside Gather you can also create your own private groups (local cutting crew, equipment chat, firewood plans, etc.) if you want a space to talk without posting publicly.

Install was not slick as sh%&, but fairly straightforward. I had to create a new Gather account, then select the Chainsaw Talk group.
Other than that, it works well. Easy to use.

@Mark.Longmire Sorry for the confusion. If it's your first time accessing the app, you have to Create a new account because you are accessing Gather first. Kindly use the same email you're using here in the forum, and it will connect your account easily. We already released an update and added special instructions when creating an account.

I got it working last week but I rarely use my phone for internet stuff, but I will try it some & see how it works.
