Husqvarna 61 leaking

My Husqvarna 61 chainsaw is driving me crazy. I've rebuilt a few carbs for it and even bought a brand new aftermarket one, but they all leak from the L/H screws and the butterfly valve shaft. I'm out of ideas.

I've set the metering lever flush every time, but nothing works. Is there anything else I could be missing?
also could a worn piston or cylinder be causing this kind of problem with the fuel system?

I had the same trouble with my old 61 after a rebuild. The carb body was bent from heat and age, so even new gaskets didn't help. If it's leaking at the L/H screws and shaft, you can try a real OEM carb if you haven't yet.

Worn piston or cylinder usually makes it hard to start, not leak fuel. But weak compression can mess with fuel flow, so it's good to check.

You've covered the basics already actually and a worn piston or cylinder wouldn't typically cause those kinds of fuel leaks, it would show up as compression or running issues instead, just check on all your gaskets and O rings
