Let's have the honest version of this conversation of Stihl or Husqvarna

Both are excellent and that's the actual answer and anyone who's run both seriously knows it. The brand loyalty here is real but mostly not about objective quality differences at equivalent price points. Husqvarna gets a slight edge in ergonomics for many users especially the balance on bigger saws. Stihl gets a slight edge in dealer network density in the US, which matters for parts access. The real differentiator for most buyers should be which brand has a dealer near you with good service technicians and which saw at your price point has the features you actually need? A Stihl MS271 and an equivalent Husqvarna will both outlast their bar and chain many times over with basic maintenance.

Less than 2 miles from my house is an Echo dealer. I'm up to 5 Echo saws and a backpack blower. While they're not as sexy nor high tech as the Husqvarna & Stihl saws but they cost way less! The CS-620P and CS-355T are my favorites. For my use, the 620p is the perfect firewood saw!

There are great models in both Stihl and Husqvarna. Some are better than their counterpart.
I’m still a lover of the older stuff.

I had an Echo blower years ago & it was fine product but when it was worn out we mainly had Stihl dealers nearby so I went Stihl.

Many years ago our main dealer here was Homelite so I had an XL400 & a Super XL, My Dad had a Zip. I still have a Super XL and run it some every year.
