Makita/dolmar DCS6421 easy start compatibility?

I need some help finding some compatible parts for upgrading my DCS6421 to an easy start. It is still pretty new as far as usage and always has been a bit tough to start, but after a shoulder injury I just can't get it to kick over. I changed the spark plug and I can smell gas coming through the muffler after many pulls. (no primer bulb). The carb looks clean and I ran cleaner though it anyway, and I'm about to do a rebuild kit anyway since it sat a year. (always non-ethanol gas and I dumped it out and put fresh but no start...)

personally I never liked any of ez start systems ( generally I call them no starts) It is very easy to flood a newer dolmar and a bit of a pia to clear it . Generally pull plug spin it over a couple time dry out plug and reinstall. I have no idea if you could even source a ez start system now days, certainly not from Makita, new old stock from somewhere maybe. I am not a drop start fan. starting- engage decomp set choke (make sure the kill switch is on run) , pull a couple times until it pops, turn off choke, do not re-engage decomp,should start in one or 2 pulls. Me I stick my foot ( toe area ) in handle on the ground gives me the leverage with either appendage depending which one is messed up at the time. just a note. inside the cover of the carb area on the right side looking from the back is a small squarish black plastic piece with to little ports in it. During the warm monthes that should be positioned with soild portion up - it provides heat to carb area in winter. with the ports up, in the summer that can cause vapor lock if trying to restart hot.

removed muffler and spark plug for a day, put new spark plug, ran for 30 seconds... and quit.
i wonder if it's flooding, probably needs adjustment for idle and L fuel/air mix. so i got a carb rebuild kit on the way. When it actually kicks over, it's not that hard to start. Seemed like fuel in the muffler.
I had the plastic piece that lets in hot air from around the engine to the carb area set to blocked off (mine's white with a sun or snowflake)

The DCS6421 is a great saw, but 'easy start' isn't its strong suit stock.
for an easy start MOD, you need to add a decompression valve
these saws usually have the port for it, but not always the valve installed unless it was an option,
you'll buy the valve itself and thread it into the cylinder head. That significantly reduces pull force.
