Saw running hot

Been running my Husky pretty steady the past few weeks, and I've noticed it's running hotter than I think it should. It still cuts fine, but after a hard session the casing feels way too warm to the touch, and I'm catching a whiff of hot smell more often than I'd like. I don't think it's the usual maintenance stuff because I've kept the air filter clean, chain sharp, and bar oil topped up,
Who can help me diagnose this overheating

Start with the cheap checks: fuel mix, spark arrestor screen, and cooling fins. Fins get packed with dust and chips, and it makes the saw run way hotter. Blow it out with compressed air before tearing deeper.

Chainsaws that are run continuously will be too hot to touch, especially the "casting" as you mentioned. However, the checks mentioned just above are good advice. Also look into tuning. Make sure the saw isn't running lean, mix-wise, and air/fuel-wise.
