2-stroke tuning for max power no overheat

Hey, what jetting, timing, and cooling tricks do you use to max out power without blowing up your engine? I'm looking for setup ideas.
 
Start with slightly richer settings, then adjust based on plug readings. Advance the timing a bit, but keep an eye on temps. Good airflow and a clean cooling system help a lot.
 
Best trick I learned: don’t chase perfect idle, chase clean midrange. Most saws die from lean mids, not top-end. Set your H jet where it blubbers slightly under no load. You’ll lose a couple hundred RPM, but gain a lot of piston life. Also, always run fresh fuel coz old mix cooks bearings.
