Old chainsaws you regret selling

I still think about my old Husky 372XP. Sold it hoping for an upgrade, but it always fired up, had a solid pull, and felt great in my hands. Some tools win your loyalty the hard way

No regrets… well, except for the Stihl 028 I sold ages ago.
It wasn’t anything special, but it lasted forever and cut like a champ.
I wish I’d held on to it for the memories.

Years ago, I parted with a Jonsered that still crosses my mind. It was perfectly balanced, easy to tune, and never let me down. Sure, newer saws are great, but that one had something special about it.

I bought two Stihl chainsaws at an auction for fifty bucks...an 034 and an MS 390. Both were dusty, and in excellent condition. I put new chains in them,and gave one to my nephew and the other to my son in law. I have lots of nice, older Poulan 3700's and 3400's, two Echo 500's, two Echo 452VL's, and an Echo 750 EVL. I work hard to keep my chainsaws ready to cut. I also have an artificial hip and will soon be 73 years old. I've figured out that the best thung to do with the things (chainsaws) I value is to give them away to someone that needs them.

That’s fantastic. Sounds like you’ve built an amazing collection and have such a kind heart. I bet your nephew and son-in-law are really grateful for those Stihls. Keeping your saws ready to cut at 73 with an artificial hip is pretty inspiring!
