I've been trying to teach my teen son to use chainsaws on timber for six months.
the little electric saw's been great on fallen trees, but the chain's now dull as dishwater.
I tried sharpening it with a kit after watching videos, but it barely helped, and I think it makes my son loose interest in this. Rakers seem fine.
Is it bcs of not filing aggressively enough? It starts okay, but then it gotta be rocked back and forth to keep going, otherwise it just burns and smokes. why is my chainsaw not cutting?
