I picked up a used case for an 038 Farm boss in need of a replacement pto side case. Are the cases all the same for all the different versions of the 038? Are the cranks all the same? I know there are 3 different pistons and two different cylinders but now I'm not sure about the cases.

My IPL shows 3 different part numbers but that's for both sides. I think the only difference in the 3 different parts numbers includes a different array of the "extra" parts that come with it.

I know, I should have asked this question before now.

I'll be replacing seals and bearings while I have the case split. I ordered the bearings already but I want to make sure they all share the same crank and bearings.

9503 003 0340 (flywheel side and 9503 003 0440 (clutch side) are the current numbers Flywheel side used to end in 6555 and 0347. Clutch side shows no alternate numbers.
No different sizes I can see .

Thank you. I found 9503 003 0443 for the clutch side. Does that cross to the 9503 003 0440?

Can anyone confirm that 9503 003 0443 is a replacement bearing for 9503 003 0440?

Hi, birdog. I've been using the Grok AI app for researching parts/part numbers for a lot of my antique equipment. While it is not infallible, it can search practically everything that's ever been posted online about any given subject, in seconds. Please let me repeat though... it is not always correct, just like the "organic" sources here on this forum. That's because the only information that an AI can search, is what has already been posted by living people. It is simply a fast way to conduct an exhaustive search, and
may help you find that information that's squirreled away in a dark corner of the web. Good luck on the rebuild.
