I have a 2023 Husqvarna 562XP Mark II and been thinking about opening up the muffler a bit. My buddy drilled out the baffle plate and added a second outlet on his and swears it runs cooler and cuts faster. I've read mixed stuff about the AutoTune not adjusting properly unless you do a full reset. I'm trying to avoid spending on a new pipe or sending it out for porting. Has anyone here done a basic mod and had the AT retune itself without issues?

My brother's got a 2022 562XP Mark II I use for firewood. We opened up the muffler a bit and added a deflector, left the baffle alone.

AutoTune adjusted fine without a reset. After a few tanks, it ran cooler and snappier. Just watch your spark plug and don't overdo it. Great saw!

Good info from your experience with the 2022 model. The AutoTune eventually sorted itself out after a few tanks of fuel. You mentioned leaving the baffle alone. Did you just drill a new hole beside the stock one and add a deflector? I plan on working on my muffler this coming weekend.
