Balancing mobility and protection in full chainsaw gear

Hey, so wearing all that safety stuff is super important, but it can be a pain when it slows you down. What gear or brands do you use that keep you safe but still let you move freely?

Loggers wear all the stuff. They seem to move pretty freely.
You gotta wear pants, make them chainsaw pants. You gotta wear boots make them CS boots. Gloves, hearing protection, hard hat, eye protection.
Seems easy to me.

I cut wood to burn in my two woodstoves. I wear steel toe boots, leather gloves and without fail I wear a Stihl hard hat with hearing protection and a face shield. That hard hat has protected me many times when a dead branch fell from a tree, or when I managed to make a cut where the sawdust blew into my face. I suppose I should wear other gear, but the gloves, boots and hard hat are non-negotiable for me.

Makes sense. I have large downed branches from a storm.. 4-8 " round.
Is a 14" electric chain saw suitable ??

Absolutely, I cut branches that size with a Milwaukee 8” Hatchet electric.

So,in my humble opinion,saw work ain't racing. It's deliberate,and being so,is methodical. So is safety. PPE and safety first means just that. IMHO
