Hi all, I have a problem with my husky 120 mark two. The blue choke lever no longer stays out, for starting, but snaps back in as soon as it is released. Has anyone come across this problem? I have taken the carb off, to access the choke/stop lever linkage mechanism but it is not clear how it should work.

Thanks in advance

Peter

The problem isn't likely the carb itself.. since yours is snapping straight back, you've probably got a broken or disconnected return spring, or maybe the small plastic detent piece that holds the lever in the choke position has snapped.
You need to inspect the linkage under the top cover where the blue lever arm connects.
Sometimes a small piece of plastic breaks off and you'll need to replace the choke lever assembly.
Look up a parts diagram for the choke lever and link section. That will show you exactly how the detent piece is supposed to sit.

Hey, also make sure to look at the auto-return cam by the trigger. If it's off or beat up, it might mess with the choke latch and stop it too soon.
