Hey guys. Ive looked high and low on every internet shopping site and flea bay auction sites. Or maybe a repair idea. Type 32 coil it's a SEM coil. I believe the original part number is 302138. I cant even find one from China. They all say for a b26 trimmer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The SEM Type 32 coil with part number 302138 was used on some Eager Beaver saws and older McCulloch models and they are tough to source since SEM stopped production years ago. Have you checked if your flywheel has the same keyway and spacing as the later SEM AM32 units, since in some cases those can be adapted with minor bracket work?

man, it’s a pain when they stop making these. if you're feeling handy, you need to try adapted Husqvarna 50/55 coils to work on these older McCullochs with a little bit of bracket filing. It’s a bit of a project, but it beats having a paperweight!

Thanks for sharing that info. Good to see solid fixes being passed around keeps the old gear alive and useful.

gosh, been there before, and I can tell you that finding a specific SEM coil like the 302138 for an old McCulloch or Eager Beaver is like hunting for a needle in a haystack
if you can’t find a 302138, keep an eye out for McCulloch part #219848 or #222718. they show up on eBay labeled as old stock more often than the SEM number does

I completely agree, finding those old SEM coils is a tough task. You made a smart move with the cross-reference numbers. I've also found that checking eBay for old stock is usually my best bet.
