Had an interesting chat this morning with a fellow saw guy about custom builds, the conversation took a weird turn when he mentioned sending a high dollar saw out for some work, 500 series, I think and now the builder's totally ghosted him bruh we're talking months with no updates, no return, nothing. Needless to say, the guy's furious, can't blame him, when you trust someone with a $1500+ saw, the last thing you expect is radio silence. I told him he might have to get law enforcement involved, which is a sad thing to even suggest in this community.
Really frustrating to hear this kind of thing still happening. Most builders I've met are true people, but it only takes one to give the whole scene a black eye. Anyone else ever deal with something like this?

If I don't do it myself I take it to a reputible Echo saw dealer. I am not into racing chain saws. Love too, but 1 added expense I don't need.

I haven't had it happen to me, I made sure of that after I heard a similar story a year back, so now I just keep my builds close to home. Sad how one ghost can haunt the whole community.
