What is confusing?
Should just be mount the bar and chain ( be sure to Not put the chain on backwards) mix and add fuel and bar oil, shouldn’t be much more than that to set it up
What are you having to Force? Is the chain brake in the applied position?
I highly suggest that you get together with an experienced cutter, and have them show the Do’s and DON’Ts.
A chainsaw doesn’t need to be Scary or Confusing, but there is a LOT to know, to use one SAFELY
