Husqvarna 372 OE vs. XT Case Reliability

When I did this video way back in 2019, it was about the details of final assembly on these 372 class saws. The chain brake, oil pump etc. Also harvesting parts off worn out junk pile saws. THAT was the intent. Years later as I go back through these, I realized it captured way more and is one of the MANY data points/experiences that define opinion. In this "case" the evolution of the Husqvarna 372 cases from reliable to not back to reliable again. In this one while harvesting parts off a completely worn out from an Amish logging camp 372 I found.... whats in the video

honestly, harvesting parts off junk pile saws is a lost art
most ppl now just buy cheap aftermarket parts, but I'd take a wornout OEM Husqvarna oil pump or chain brake over a new clone part any day of the week

That's a great point! There's definitely a lot of value in reusing OEM parts, especially when you have a clear understanding of what you're dealing with.

just wanna say that cheap clone parts look shiny, but they never hold the tolerances of an old OEM piece. I’d much rather rebuild a dirty 2019 Husqvarna pump than trust a no name replacement.

You can't argue with that. Old OEM parts really do last so much longer than any shiny knock-offs.
