When I was a kid, I always thought lumps in mashed potatoes meant someone had messed up. But it turns out, some folks actually like them that way who would’ve guessed? I’m all in for smooth! My grandma would whip them up until they were fluffy like clouds and that’s a tradition that’s really stuck with me.

My dad was all about the 'lumpy means love' philosophy and that's how I picked up the art of making them. Now whenever something's too smooth it just feels like it's lacking that special touch
