Longtime chainsaw operator... but not enthusiastic about deeper maintenance and repairs, until it became obvious that people skilled in those tasks are few and costly (as the product of a useful education ought to be). My saw collection is growing, as is my fascination in how engineers for various brands have designed their components. My nearly 40-year focus has been in using saws, not repairing them, but now I believe it to be imperative that we learn and share these skills, so I appreciate this site!
