New piston hitting jug at the top of stroke

Hello,
Back in April we had a major ice storm where I live. I borrowed my dad’s MS170 and it worked great for clearing my road out so we could get access to gas and supplies. It eventually gave up on me so I purchased an MS182 to get through the ice storm and would fix his when everything was cleaned up.

I ordered a new jug and piston kit off of amazon and once I got it installed and back together came to find that the piston hits at the top of the cylinder (only hand spun haven’t started the saw) has anyone else had a problem with this or did I get a defective piston and cylinder?

I would have purchased a OEM piston and jug, sorry don't have much faith on Amazon parts.
Give your dad the MS182, get you a 261 for the next storm.

Did you order the correct gasket that goes between the jug and the crankcase? I believe you can get several different gaskets of varying thickness that may solve your problem. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If it hits you need a gasket or machine the squish zone
you might have the wrong parts
