Soft flywheel?

Hi all,
First post here, been lurking a while for repair tips, learned a lot, thanks everyone!

Anyway, just rebuilt a Dolmar 111, and for the second time on this saw, the flywheel taper has obliterated itself and spun on the crank taper. Yes, the key was fitted, not an awful lot of it left but its still proud of the crankshaft, meaning that it was definotely the material of the flywheel which gave out.
Yes, the flywheel nut was still present and tensioned, but not very tight. Had to lock the piston to remove it but I remember it was put on much tighter.

What do people do to prevent their flywheels spinning on the crankshaft? anyone use loctite or similar?
Cheers.

Make sure to apply red Loctite on the taper and tighten the nut to the specified torque, it's crucial that the flywheel gets the full clamping force, not just what the key provides. Also, don't forget to clean the surfaces before installing.

Truth is, if your Dolmar 111 flywheel keeps spinning, it's not bad luck, it's bad design. Loctite's just a band-aid and only machining or swapping to a better crank/flywheel truly fixes it.
