As the new season approaches, it’s a great time to tighten up those safety habits. You might have found yourself double-checking a few things lately like those gloves that are due for a replacement, or some habits that have slipped a bit. It’s that moment of the year when you start to get everything back on track. So, what safety practices are you focusing on before the new season kicks in?

I found myself reaching for my old, worn-out gloves again, and that was a real wake-up call. I’m finally getting rid of the gear that’s seen better days and focusing on taking my time instead of just rushing through everything.

After nearly tripping over a branch last fall because I didn’t see it, I’ve become a lot more aware of where I step and how well I can see. I’ve got fresh gloves now, improved lighting, and I’m reminding myself to avoid cutting corners before the next season kicks in.

I noticed while doing a cleanup job last month that I had gotten too laid-back I skipped ear protection here and forgot to check my boots there. So this year, I’m starting fresh: investing in new safety gear, doing better checks before starting work, and making sure I take safety seriously this time around.
