What saw brand impressed you the most?

Last year, I picked up a backup saw that I didn’t have high hopes for, but it ended up outlasting my main rig without a single complaint. It made me curious about which brands have surprised others with their reliability.

My old Echo CS-400 was just supposed to be a quick fix, but it turned out to be a real workhorse.
Honestly, it's been way more dependable than I thought it would be.

Appreciate the insights. Always interesting how a 'just-in-case' saw like the Echo CS-400 or Sachs Dolmar 109 can quietly become the most reliable workhorse in the shed.

I concur that the CS-400 looks like a limbing saw and feels like its too light to do serious work. However, it is now the oldest saw in my inventory and keeps coming back for more (unintended) abuse. It's the first saw I pick up for anything less than large diameter tree felling

It sounds like the little saw that could. It may be lightweight but it definitely knows how to take a beating and keep on going.

My buddy had a CS 400 and I had a Husqvarna 440 and I bet we cut 1000 or 2000 hedge post with both of them combined line post corner post all of it and both of themselves just they held up and ____ work work courses

My collection of saws in the shed I have both Dolmars and Sachs Dolmars and
also a number of Echos and cannot fault either for reliability as I find good saws.
Have had a few guys look at my saws and when I start thee old CA5 Dolmar up and
cut a wee bit of wood with her they soon change there mind.

Fantastic lineup. Dolmars, Sachs, and Echos are all reliable choices and that CA5 still demonstrates why the classics are here to stay.

i am happy with saws i have now.

Husqvarna 135 mk2
Echo cs620
Einhell 36v

All impress me in their own right.

Husky is super easy to start. Has ok power, but i could do with a bit more.
Echo starts 3-7 pulls cold, but i feel those pulls.

Einhell, when working intermittently is priceless

It took me a while to work out a combo that works for me.
