Has anyone altered the wrap handle to stop burning their hands?

Not sure if you already found a fix for your 372XP. The best solution involves thermal insulation since the muffler radiates so much heat. I've seen guys use high temp self fusing silicone tape on the handle section near the exhaust. It bonds to itself without any sticky residue and can handle up to 500°F. Is the heat concentrated on the vertical part of the bar right next to the muffler outlet?
