Ever had one of those days when your chainsaw is working overtime, but you can’t shake the thought of all that fuel being burned and the smoke filling the air? Some people adjust their fuel mix, ensure their chain is sharp for a cleaner cut, or explore newer low-emission options. What do you do to lessen emissions or fuel waste while using your chainsaw? Or is there such thing as eco-friendly chainsaw use?

Nope. Never. Unless it's dead calm. Then I hope for a breeze.

I’ve never had that thought. But I do constantly marvel at the amount of work that is accomplished with just a little bit of gasoline. I certainly do not waste fuel.

Very true. For a shot glass full of diesel a claw truck can load a couple of 5000lb logs in the bed of a truck

When I run one of my Stihls, I think of the smoke as bug repellent. I'm mostly aware of that in its absence, when I run one of my cordless saws.

Or when I was still running my Supmix el cheapo saw at 25:1!
