026 out of commission

I have a well used & loved 026 that has been my go to saw for 5 years now. Just recently I used it to cut up an ash that fell down in a storm...worked fine. The next time I go to use the saw I had a hell of a time getting it started and when I finally did the engine raced sort of like it was running out of gas. I ended up changing out the carburetor, fuel line, impulse line, and engine boot. Still have the same problem. Also used new gas mix and new spark plug. Any ideas?

May pay to look for air leaks because that will cause them to race.
