Chain not oiling right where to start?

I just realized mine isn’t lubricating the bar like it should, but I’m hesitant to jump to conclusions about the pump.
Does anyone have some quick tips to troubleshoot oiling problems before I start taking it apart?

First, I check the oil level and filter because they can be low or clogged. Then, I give the bar a tilt to see if the oil flows out smoothly.

A quick tip: run the saw at full throttle and point it at a piece of scrap wood. You should notice a good spray. If you don't, take a look at the tube and nozzle before assuming there's an issue with the pump.

I usually disconnect the bar and lift it, then start the saw. If oil doesn’t come out, it's likely that the feed line or nozzle is blocked, not the pump itself.

No need to stress, just remove the bar, clean the oil holes, and run the saw against a leftover log. You’ll figure out quickly if the pump's working properly or if it just needs a bit of attention.

Sometimes, the tube might slip off or get pinched.
A good visual inspection and a gentle pull can often solve the problem without needing to take everything apart.
