Did I make a mistake?

I just bought a Husky 135 16 inch. I was going to get the next size up but I just couldn't find the money. We cut wood for heat for three winter, we have 10 acres of hard wood. I know it sounds early but with just my husband 67 and my son ( he is ill) it's not. The Saw comes on Saturday, we need about 20 trees then cut up. All hard wood. Will it handle the Job?

It depends entirely on the diameter of wood you're bucking or limbing. I'm assuming these trees are already down, as a 16” bar on the 135 is the longest recommended on this light duty 38cc saw, and wasn't designed for much else. Your needs will wear that saw and your back out

Thanks so much the trees were all cut over about 30 years ago. So there not monsters, he is really good with a chain saw, wish us luck. As you said James that's what he does, and we try to take down the dead. These are our trees so we are particular which ones we take. Plus he isn't cutting them in one day. It will be done over weeks.

The 135 is semi-disposable. Not to say it's useless, but it's not a robust unit as you are likely aware. You didn't make a mistake, all saws in that price range are going to be a similar story.

Keep the bar oil topped off and the chain sharp sharp sharp. Tune rich, don't run it hard and hot, keep the air filter clean. It'll do work.
