Fuel line stiffening in cold temps

After a few chilly mornings where my engine seemed to struggle to get its fuel fix, I found myself pondering whether stiff fuel lines are influenced more by the brand, their age, or simply the winter weather.

What’s your take on keeping the fuel flowing when the temperatures take a nosedive?

I have seen some China crap that gets real stiff.

High quality Tygon or OEM is the way to go.

I tried after market in one of My stihl's & promptly went back to OEM.

Makes sense OEM or good Tygon really does save the headache in cold mornings. Thanks for the insight

Yep aftermarket is fine for some things
Not fuel, oil, impulse hoses.
If I do have to use an aftermarket hose , I throw it in a bowl of gas for overnight. Bad ones swell up

What a great idea! Testing hoses like that is an easy way to see if they're trash before they mess things up
