Hello everyone! I have one of these that was given to me from the trash on the side of the road. It's awesome and over the past year - I have been fixing it up. Got the bar and chain rust free and moving, did the points, did the carb, etc. The last thing is the clutch. The clutch looks fine but the springs are weak because after adjusting the throttle - it keeps turning albeit slowly. It has the comet clutch. One of the pucks is missing. I need a puck and springs. I ordered springs for a stihl ms391 as someone else on a post said they work. I will see - but I need a puck. What do they do anyway as I have never seen them in a clutch. Thanks.

The pucks in that clutch act as friction weights... they push out and engage the drum when RPMs climb. If one's gone, you'll never get smooth engagement. Sometimes you can cannibalize from another Lombard or swap the whole clutch assembly for a more common fit. Keep an eye on eBay or old saw forums; NOS parts pop up occasionally.

Thanks - hoping someone out there just has a puck. I did consider swapping the clutch but holding out for a puck. I guess someone had it apart at some point and it dropped out. Not sure...
