As it says above I recently bought a clone ms660 to be exact, and I'm here to say check out what you buy off of marketplaces when you do. I screwed the pooch and didn't really give the saw a good once over and kinda got screwed. Some back story: I was searching face space marketplace and found a saw within my budget and was big enough to mill and buck up a massive redwood tht I had already felled. My homie 1020 auto, had been acting up on me so in the mean time I'd just get a new to me saw.
Well the ad states the saw was brand new and never been to in, as well as the gentleman tht I spoke to said he never ran it. So I drive an hour and a half to pick up this "brand new" saw. Well I paid the guy, without ever REALLY checking out the saw. After I get back to the house I pull out the saw and notice a little dirt on the saw under the muffler, so I decide to pull the bar cover off and I was PISSED to see tht it seemed like who ever ran it before burnt the chainbrake up and started to melt the inside of the saw.
Also the chainbrake lever had been taken off the saw. I didn't even think to notice it when I got it. Also the roller tip on the rollomatic bar was rusted SOLID.
Now I know it's my own damned fault and I shouldve taken a couple seconds to look over the saw before buying it. I'm only sharing my experience and reminding everyone tht buys a second hand saw to make sure to really look it over before you make your purchase.
