Stihl, Husky, Echo, or Something Else?

Curious about your favorite chainsaw brand, Stihl, Husky, Echo, or something else. What keeps you loyal to that brand when it comes to reliability, balance, and cutting power?

I'm all about Stihl saws. They're trusty, feel good in my hands, and always have the muscle I need to chop through stuff.

I'm not loyal to any brand. My main work saws will be Husqy 372xp OE's as long as they are still produced and being "smuggled" in. I can keep them in service longer than most new saws. I love the Echo's in the generation the 590 and 620 came from and the ones just before like the 680. As far as new saws go, I'm mostly interested in Stihl and the Echo 7310. Not a ton of experience with either though.

@knotagain I just bought an EGO POWER+ 20" chainsaw, it's my first chainsaw, and so far so great

Glad to hear that! The EGO 20" has a lot of power for a battery saw, it's quiet runs smoothly and you can forget about the hassle of gas.

Home use here, smaller saws, I have 2 Echos and so far so good.
Although I was wondering about the ez start on the Sthils, older in years and anything helps.

I have Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Jonsered which are no longer made plus some of the older McCullochs
that all have given me good service but the newer McCulloch's probably no as I have a collection
of saws pre year 2000. I don't think I would be to fussed on buying a new saw what's out there today.
I have a Stihl 056 AV Super and a Jonsered 930 Super for my big work and husky 51 and even some old Homelite XL12's
for my smaller work. I have 40 chainsaws of all different models and one of my go to saws is a very nice McCulloch
ProMac 700.

Wow, what an amazing collection you have! That fleet is truly a classic. Those saws from before 2000 definitely have their own unique charm. And that Pro Mac 700 in the pics? It looks so well-maintained for its age, I’m really digging that rugged yellow McCulloch style. The entire setup just radiates those old-school workhorse vibes.
