Hello, I am new to posting, I have a Stihl Skil chainsaw model 1644, type 1. I was wondering if anyone might could provide some more information on this saw. I have researched it and can’t find much. Thanks in advance

I’m afraid you saw has nothing to do with Stihl
Skil chains were sold by chain stores. I’m not sure if they were made by the same company that made Skil electric tools

What makes you think it has any relationship to Stihl? It looks like it's an old chainsaw made by Skil, the power tool company most known for the "Skil" saw. Here's another forum where there's a mention https://www.lumberjocks.com/threads/skils-last-chainsaws.33787/

It’s not stihl, no relation, it is skil I was talking to type when I posted this.
