Any one ever have or use a poulan 3400 or 3700?

I’ve been using a 3700 for years to cut firewood. It was a solid saw back in the day, but now it’s getting harder to find parts for it.

My very first saw was a 3400. It was a beast of a saw with more power than I needed. It cut a lot of firewood and all in all was a GREAT saw!

That sounds amazing! May I ask where the saw is now?

They were great saws. I sold dozens of 3700’s for $399. I even had one logger using them.
Biggest issues were the intake manifold coming loose, the odd oil pump, and the brake was not very strong.

I've had the same issue with the intake manifold, I think that was the problem with my saw as well. Other than that, they’re solid saws, especially for the price. The brake mechanism is definitely something you can feel when you compare it to the newer models.
