Husqvarna 240 carb issue?

My Husqvarna 240 starts up just fine, but it quits after a couple of seconds. When I try to give it some gas, it just bogs down. When I touch the choke, it dies right away. I already messed around with the carb settings, but nothing seems to work. Do you think the carb is the problem, or could there be something else going on?

Looks like your Husqvarna 240 is running too lean. When you give it gas, you are introducing more air, but since there is a problem with the fuel supply, it just bogs down. The fact that it dies when you touch the choke also points to a lean condition. The choke adds fuel to the mix. If it dies, that means it is already running too lean and can't handle the extra fuel. It might be a clogged carburetor, a bad fuel filter, or even a dirty spark arrestor screen. I would suggest checking those things out before you mess with the carb settings too much.

@Pebeee_ have you checked the rubber fuel lines? Over time, it can get old, crack, and let air in, or they can just get loose.
You can also have a clogged fuel filter in the gas tank. Pull the fuel line off the carb and check for any cracks or leaks. Then, pull the line out of the gas tank and make sure the little fuel filter on the end isn't clogged up with gunk

Also check that you do not have an airleak, crank seals base gasket pulse line go do a proper vac pressure test

Could be carb, but don't rule out the fuel line or impulse line. Those little rubber lines crack with age, suck air, and then it stalls out like you're describing. Worth checking before you throw parts at it.
