Looking for info on my old Poulan KD-100

[Dusty Old Saw]

I came across an old chunk of a saw that looks to be in real good condition, maybe even could be a good runner.
Has good spark, good compression , good stocky bar, good chain and even fired up a few seconds when priming with fresh fuel.

I would like to find out information about this saw. When was manufactured, ect. KD-100 Ser #9101766.

I did some quick research and hope this helps. Poulan KD-100 is from early 1960s, likely 1963-1965 based on your serial number. Solid 3.5-4 HP saw. Since it fired briefly, clean the carb, replace fuel lines, and run fresh 40:1 mix. Check vintage chainsaw forums for detailed specs and parts.

Appreciate the info on Mfg dates and the 40 to 1. Looks about right.
Much more "industrial" looking machine than what's sold these days. Fuel and oiler lines are metal tubing. No plastic except tank caps. Work this one all day and no one would have to spank you to make you go to sleep at night.

I will try to keep updates on how the re-furbish is going.
