Currently working on my
McCulloch mini-mac 6 automatic
Hasn't run in ages, was given to me by my dad.
Im having issues getting it to start, maybe its not sparking, maybe my carb isnt adjusted, but i am not sure how to adjust it.
I have a new spark plug to put in, maybe its just that simple?
I have found an owners manual online, i will look through and learn.
if anyone has any advice, or tips, I would be extremely grateful.
Also, does anyone know where I can get parts?
Thanks everyone in advance.

A new spark plug could definitely help, but carb adjustment might be needed too. Try to look for the H (high), L (low), and T (idle) screws on the carb body. Start with small turns and let the engine warm up before fine tuning it. For parts, try Lil' Red Barn, they ship fast

The most common issues with these older two-stroke engines are related to the carburetor and the fuel system.

A new spark plug is a good idea and a simple place to start.

Regarding the carburetor, you mentioned not knowing how to adjust it so I suggest to turn the High and Low mixture screws all the way in until they are gently seated, then back them out one and a half turns. It;s the standard initial setting that should allow the engine to at least try to fire. Then you can then fine-tune it from there.
