I'm checking out aftermarket chains and bars to see which ones work best for pros. I'm mainly looking at how long they last, how well they cut, and if they fit different tools.
If you're a pro, you'll find that Oregon S62T chains are tough and make quick cuts. They're made to fit lots of different tools, and they come with a chrome outer layer and a Lubri-Tec oil thing to keep them going for longer.

I’m not sure the Oregon S62 is what I would call a “Pro” chain. Oregon is the brand to buy, but their professional cutting chains and bars are found here:
I mainly use their 72EXJ for primarily Douglas Fir on my property. It is a full chisel, full skip chain with great chip clearance that allows me to run a 24” bar on my 60cc Stihl saw without difficulty. Works fine in the occasional oak as well. “Pro” chains usually come with a yellow label and an appropriate warning statement. PowerCut guide bars are the standard.
