I bought an aftermarket long block off eBay about 8 months ago. Looks like a reputable seller and all. Anyways, put all back together and ran great. Have only used the saw maybe 2-3 times since then. Do the other day I take it out to clean and sharpen it and afterwards I ran it. Noticed it was a little difficult to start. Got it started, ran good and then would not hold an idle and would die out. Happened twice so I put it away for the day. So when I was pulling it out to look at it today I noticed a rattle sound. Long story short it was a Torx bolt that came loose from the muffler. Come to find out not only that bolt, which was my fault, but 2 of the Torx for the jug had come completely out and the other 2 were loose.I guess my question is should I have checked those prior to install even if they were installed from the seller and when I put them back in should I put Loctite on them and what about torquing the bolts down. Also should I put Loctite and torque down the muffler bolts? Thanks for your time
