I'm having issues with my Husqvarna chainsaw's chain tension. It's got that one-nut cover setup. When I adjust the tension screw, the chain moves like it should.
But when I tighten the cover nut, the chain just seizes up. If I leave the nut loose, the chain gets slack after a few seconds. I'm lost. Any ideas on what's going on?

Yeah, it's easy to think it's the nut, but
@SawdustKing got a good point about the bar not seating correctly.. one of the most common issues on those Husqvarnas is the clutch cover.
Make sure it's fully seated and not getting hung up on the tension pin or the bar studs.
A lot of times, the pin gets slightly bent or the hole in the bar is a little worn, and you have to wiggle it just right to get it to catch.
Make sure you're also holding the tip of the bar up before you tighten the nut.
You need to take the slack out of the chain from the top, and if you just let it rest, it'll feel tight but then get loose the second you start cutting.
Just hold that bar tip up, tighten it down, and it should stay put.
If that doesn't work, you might have a bent bar or a damaged tension pin.
