When did the Santa thing stop being real for you?

I feel like everyone kinda has that moment when they start putting two and two together. How old were you when you figured out Santa and the reindeer weren't really a thing? And what was the moment you knew? I'm interested in hearing how it all went down for you.

That was over 50 years ago and my memory isn't that good. But I remember when I did think I figured it out, I milked it for one more year....

I’m thinking about 65,years ago. Caught my family wrapping presents. As ‘hunting1’ stated, “milking” the fable always produced more presents as the family enjoyed embellishing the day.

I was around seven when I discovered the From Santa gift receipt tucked away in my dad's jacket pocket. That moment shattered the magic for me but those Legos were still very much real.
