Your go-to chain sharpening angle for softwood

So, just finished touching up my chain saw after a weekend of slicing through some softwood and it got me wondering. I always stick to the same old angles when I sharpen but I bet everyone has their own way of doing it.

What angles do you guys usually go with for softwood? Anything you've found that makes the cut smoother or keeps the blade sharp longer?

I usually stick to around 30 degrees for softwoods. I learned that trick way back when I was chopping firewood on my family's property, and it's just something I've always done. It gives a nice, clean cut and works pretty darn well.

Agree, the factory angle is usually the best bet for smooth reliable cuts.
