New Muffler

I’m thinking of putting this muffler from Undaunted on my Stihl 261 non Mtronic saw.
The manufacturer states tha I may need to reset the carburetor setting (probably just the high speed) but i’m not sure how to do it correctly. I’m assuming I will have to make the setting richer, but not sure how much. Anyone with experience in this?

Yes, you must make sure the saw is not running too lean when cutting.

It should sound a little rich out of the cut and go to a nice 2 stroke when loaded
You may need to pull the limiters on the adjustment screws to get there.
And wear earmuffs.

Just a heads up, your 261 might have plastic limiter caps on the carb screws
these prevent you from turning the screw more than a 1/2 turn.
you're adding a high flow muffler, so a 1/2 turn might not be enough to get it rich enough
you might need to use a puller tool to pop those caps off so you can actually give the saw the fuel it needs

If it requires that much more fuel at hi speed, you may not get it even by removing the limiters.
A lot of Stihl (zama) carbs have semi - fixed jets.
