To all the addicts.....

If your like me chainsaw collecting is an addiction. Well not an addiction cause I can stop whenever I want. For those of you like me with this awesome hobby and a significant other what does tht significant other half say regarding your hobby.
So my gf went with me on a six hour round trip drive to pick up 10 more saws for my collection for $375 (not including gas). She helped me load them In the truck, and didn't say a word...until...she saw it......a shiny, I the case, Stihl ms 210c.
Once we were in the truck on the drive back home she told me "The Stihl 210c with the case is MINE." I looked at her in shock. She liked to go cutting with me on my adventures and liked to use the little limb saw I have but never had any interest in running or liking for that matter any saws.
Well I looked at her smiled and I said babe I love you of course you can have tht one.
It surprised me.
So what does y'all's better halves say about your hobby?

Better half likes my Stihl hobby since it benefits both places. She has her own little Stihl collection going with several of the home owner battery items, plus she a trimmer and leaf blower which is gas powered.

When mine was alive my wife had no problem with chainsaws, boats, decoys, shop machines. They were bought for HER! I just borrowed them.

As we reside in the country and offset our propane furnace with 2 fireplaces that burn all winter, my wife has no problems with tools that keep our house warm, intact and 'pretty'.

However, tools are not hobbies in her estimation, and 41 years of marriage hasn't changed that. I have 2 saws, and could finesse a 3rd (90cc), but as a hobby, not even on a good day.

As to the next one, I’m drooling over the Echo CS-1201p, although unavailable in the US. An issue with the EPA, and the warranty wouldn’t apply, and parts would be problematic. But what a beauty it is….

Us boys love our toys. I have two saws I probably don't actually need if it comes down to it. Wife doesn't really have any interest in such things, though. The problem with lots of saws is that I can't remember which saw got what maintenance and when.

If you want an Echo 1201, there is a member on AS (Arboristsite) that goes by the username “Robinwood”, he is in Malaysia, and has access to all sorts of NIB saws not available in the USA. Many members have bought unobtainable ( in the USA) saws from Robin, and he has proven to be a Reliable seller, I know that a while back he sold some Big Echoes, and the buyers were Very Happy with the purchases.

I have never bought through Robin, but many regular AS members have, and all have reported successful transactions

Robin, may be able to get you one, if you really want one, you may be able to get one

Thank you for that. There's also one (new in box) on eBay.

I'm on the bubble with this, as warranty and parts are far more challenging to obtain and, therefore, more costly. This would also have to be a regular worker, so it muddies my choices a bit. I'll be chewing on this for a while.
